Camping Trip??

Hey everyone, we're only 72 hours away from the much anticipated campoff 2k14!! It's going to be crazy. Once we get there, we'll look high and low for a safe place to park our cars. It's a short hike from the parking lot to the campsite (approximately 30 feet). The camp ground does have facilities (including bathrooms with showers, full kitchen, big couch that sleeps 2, and even a guest bedroom with a queen bed). We have the site reserved, and I even heard there's some wild animals there!

We need to know if we're still on, and who's coming. We'd be talking mid afternoon Saturday to mid-morning Sunday. We'd need to get outta there by about 10am or so.

Also we need to decide what to do about meals, but we can always talk about that Thursday. We'll just grill something Saturday for dinner, and something simple for breakfast Sunday.

Thoughts??

Hey guys, we've mentioned the sports ministry that we're involved in at Red Rocks a few times, and I just saw this national news story a few minutes ago and thought I'd share it. You don't have to go to the church to have some fun with us. Let us know if you wanna play!

Group Outing - Avalanche Game!

Our first community group outing will be Thursday March 27th. We are going to see an Avalanche hockey game. I have found tickets for around $20/pp. I will send out a text to you see who is interested. I would like to order tickets by next week so we have them and the price stay consistent!

Thursday, February 6, 2014

Hey Everyone!

A group of us met tonight and looked at several different studies and books. We have come to the decision that we will begin our community group study with Romans by Warren Wiersbe. The rational for this study and book is that Romans is a foundational book for a life of following God. We thought it would be a good way to start because it will allow us to get to know each other and our walk with God and set a strong foundation for the community group. These books are set up well for small groups and have a little bit of everything from literal text analysis to reflective questions to real-world application.

We are going to order books for people who are interested. If you would like to buy your own, please feel free to do so. We will begin with Lesson 1, next Thursday (2/13/14). I have attached the lesson here to download and work through this week. I will not do this after next week, so please try to have a book by February 20th.

First Bible Study Meeting Tonight!

We will be meeting tonight to talk about which study we would like to work through. I will post the options here and possibly have a vote if there are only a couple of people who attend tonight. Thanks!
